Today was close to 100

I was full of good intentions today but the weather just kind of made me say uh no way am I shopping today. Out in Puyallup it was hovering close to 100 degrees. I had to take Megan in for blood work or I would of stayed home all day in the air conditioned house.
I get up and end up going back to sleep. I was not feeling good last night and had potty issues. So my getting up and out the door by 9 kind of went by the way side. I am out the door with Rena, Megan by 11:30.
We go to Good Samaritan Hospital to get her blood draw. I heard them make a comment about needing a lot of blood for the extra testing and they said they had enough. I ended up getting a call at around 3:30 that they need to draw more blood for her Lamictal levels that they didn't get enough blood after all.
OK first of all it is a 20 minute drive to go to the lab. It is going to be 103 tomorrow. Megan hates the heat. Why could they of not got enough blood the first time? I mean they have the orders there take some extra if you have any doubts.
I am trying to not spend money on gas as much as possible. I got gas 5 weeks ago! That shows how little I have been driving around wasting money. Now I have to make another trip to Puyallup with the horrible heat.
I have really been watching how I spend my money. Garage sales have not even held my interest this summer. *gasp* I have not had Starbucks in two weeks I believe. I used to buy a Iced Viente Carmel Macchito every other day! In some ways not having the money to waste has been a blessing. It has definitely been better for my health and weight!
I admit it that I am not used to having to think over do I really want that? Do I really need that? I wanted my Starbucks today so badly but then I was thinking. It cost me $3.89 for the drink or I can treat Megan and get a Little Caesar's Pizza for $5.00. The pizza won out and Megan ate a lot of it!
I am feeling guilty though. I stopped by the fruit stand and bought a 6 pack of raspberries. I ate them all! I ate $10.95 worth of raspberries. Did you know I am addicted to them? I mean geesh how did I eat that many?
I have a new series of books I am reading. It is the Yadda Yadda series. They are Christian based and so uplifting. The one I just finished up reading had me in tears a few time. It is called The Yadda Yaddas get Tough. It dealt with racial issues and the one scene just broke my heart. I was balling like a baby. The ending had me in tears as well. Oh and it kept me reading until 2AM. This is another series that once I start to read I can not put down. I have watched so much less TV now.
How I pity those that do not know the joy of reading. I love to read. I have always loved reading. I went through the Nancy Drew series as a young teen, through The Hardy Boys as well. I adored Little Women especially Jo.
I think I am going to start keeping track of what all I read. It is honestly like an addiction for me. I want to read the book from start to finish in one setting. So what if dinner needs to be made? So what if the dog needs to go out? I have to read the next page! :)
So good night until tomorrow I am off to read another Yadda Yadda story!

Megan

Megan just had another seizure. Her poor body is going through so much lately it seems. She ha a seizure Sunday when she was laying down for a nap with me. She had a seizure on Saturday when I was alone with her. Friday she had a seizure as well when Rena was here with us. These are all over 3 minutes and her lips turn blue. She gets so very weak it is sad.
I called her Neurologist and I got a call back within 2 hours! She is ordering full blood work for tomorrow. The results will take about a week to get back but at least it will be done.
On to other news. I went to Safeway today to get a couple of things I needed. I ended up buying 5 12 packs of soda *2 diet Squirt, 2 diet A&W Root beer and 1 diet Cherry 7UP*, a head of lettuce, 3 pounds of cherries, an 8 ounce block of Kraft sharp cheddar, a Sunday paper, and an 18 count carton of eggs. After paying .93 cents tax I paid $18.03 total! I got a rain check for the Ritz crackers that are on for $1.88 and I have $1.00 off making them .88 cents and when I buy them I have another coupon for a free box of Wheat Thins! Tomorrow I will be going to Albertsons after doing the blood work for some more of my bargains.

Sunday

Hello my Internet friends! It was a lovely Sunday here once again. I was up and ready to go to Sunday school but got side tracked by hubby having leg cramps. I was giving him a back rub and leg rubs and did not get into the shower until it was to late to go. We did make it to the regular service and I was in the nursery. I just had one baby today but she is a spit fire! I really miss being around babies like I used to be.
I got a final Secret Prayer Sister gift from Miss Judy today. It was so full of wonderful gifts and had a sweet card to go with it. There was 2 body washes from AVON, a hand lotion from Arborne, a box of Whitman's chocolates, and 2 Christian books. One by Joyce Mayer and one about a girl that was aborted by her 17 year old mom yet miracle of miracles she lived! She not only lived but lived to tell the story and to share Gods love.

OK this is a game I have for sale on Craigslist for $10.00. It is new and sealed in the factory plastic stuff and even has the price tag on it. I have a lady interested in it that I need to call back. However now I am wondering what to do. I did some research on it and this game in the new packaging is on EBay and other sites for higher amounts. I am talking over $150.00! So do I try and EBay it or just take my $10.00? I think if I knew the lady was going to play it I could sell it so much easier then if she is going to Ebay it and make some fast cash. *Sigh* So my amazing friends what should I do?
This is the propane BBQ that I sold tonight for $15.00. I had to keep dropping the price being as I just wanted it gone and I was tired of no shows. The guy got a good deal on it being as they sell for around $50.00 or more new. I didn't even bother to clean it up I mean they got a good deal! I got money to buy groceries! A win win situation don't you agree?
Jason fixed the air conditioner unit in my bedroom today for me. It was caked up with dust and he cleaned it out and got it to work again. I am actually sitting here thinking I am way to cold! It is nice having that work again my bedroom was way to warm for me to sleep well and now I can use my blanket and slumber like a baby.
I did not get much on my list done yesterday. I ended up getting into putting all the pictures back up on the walls. I am so happy to walk around my house and see the kids pictures again. Not just the kids but family pictures of everyone. My house is a home again.I have about 15 more frames that I need to put pictures in and I will work on that this week. I wrote my Thank You to Miss Judy today and will mail it to her tomorrow.
My Monday list is:
1. Sweep and mop Kitchen
2. Clean bathroom
3. Make spaghetti for dinner
4. Make a list of pantry foods
5. Do a load of laundry
My weekly goal is:
1. Have Megan's room all finished with the decorations
2. Re-list Craigslist stuff when it expires
3. Walk 30 minutes a day with Mali
4. Buy a few plants for my planters

Ladies Night Out at Church

Tonight was my ladies night out at Church. I had an absolute lovely time! The theme for this night out was centered around Joy. I was chosen to read a short story about Abraham and Sarah. Abraham was 100 years old and his beautiful wife Sarah was 90 when God said he was going to bless them with a child. A year later Sarah gave birth to Isaac. Can you imagine being 90 and having a baby?

We were served dinner by some of the teen boys with a couple of the wonderful husbands blessing us with the dishing it all up. We had spaghetti, salad and garlic bread. Our beverage was tea or lemonade, for dessert it was sherbet with fresh raspberries. I was a wonderful dinner and I loved it!

All of us ladies were given a gift of a bite sized Almond Joy as a small gift and then a sweeter gift of a hand made necklace. It is a satin cord with a small silver charm holder with three small charms. One charm says Joy, one says Love and the other says Hope. It is a simple gift but so beautiful.

There were door prizes of an Almond JOY bar and some small plaques and the final two prizes were lol bottles of JOY! It was such a fun night and one I wish I could of shared with all of my friends here in internet land.

Tomorrow hubby is working a side job and taking Robert with him. Praise the Lord! I am having such a hard time dealing with that child. It will be nice just having it be Megan and I for a change. I love having help with Megan but it is hard having someone here every day from 9 to 6 basically. I appreciate the help and I do need it but it is sweet to be able to run around my house in a tank top and short pj bottoms if I want to. I also can take a nap if I want to and not feel like I am being lazy being as the help is here.

I am going to go back to making my list of what I need to do for the day and for the week. Before when I blogged my list I seemed to get most of it done. Maybe it was being held accountable through cyberland. So tonight I start my list!

List for Saturday:

Check Spelling

1. Clean my bathroom

2. Sweep & mop the kitchen floor

3. Wipe down the counters in kitchen

4. Hang up one box of pictures

5. Take Megan for a walk around the neighborhood

6. Make a list of food in the pantry

7. Write a thank you to Miss Abbey for being my secret prayer sister

8. Go to the library

Oh the picture is of a Nativity set I am trying to sell on Craigslist. I have a Home Interiors set that I already use. This is a huge set with the figurines being about 12" for the tallest one. It is also a shinny finish and I prefer my bisque finish. I just wanted to share part of what I am selling!

Admit it you love this picture that I borrowed from another blogger. It is perfect for me being as hubby calls me Duck! I would love one of these in my front yard! How cool would that be?
Robert has had issues again today. He was cussing me up and down and yelling at me. All I did was ask him to take care of the dishes which is his chore. I ended up at 3 PM doing them and it took less then 5 minutes to do. So now he will not be going to explorers tonight and he is to be in by 8 PM each night. I am also making dessert and he will not be allowed any tonight being as he has not *earned* the priviledge of it.
As you can see the computer desk is still in the living room. I will not back down on this argument at all. The computer was bought for school work not for surfing the net looking at porn and down loading music. Oh and with the computer in the main room he can not blast the music either. I wonder how long it will take for Robert to realize I am the one in control?
He has not got the mouse back yet being as he *password locked* the computer. He said I was on the computer and I had not been on it is the funny thing. He was mad also saying I was down loading stuff on his computer and I wasn't. He is the one that was down loading programs and such and refused to down load school work programs. He also had no problem letting his girlfriend go on that computer and down loadc programs that she wanted. Yet he had a hissy fit when I checked mine and hubbies emails? The kid is stupid to keep messing with me!

Pretties

I love thesew Day Lillies. We started out with 3 small scraggley plants and hubby has seperated them a few times so they are in the back yard as well. As you can see they need to be dead headed and seperated again.

I love this final shot of the single lily. The color os so pretty and summery. Even the center yellow is a nice bright yellow. It is amazing how colorful God has painted our world.

Megan

I adore this picture of Megan. Each time I see it I think she is driving my van. She hates having the belt buckle go across her chest and she is always trying to take it off. She usually ends up slipping the upper part behind her head. I have not yet figured out a way to keep it where it belongs on her. I can't remember where we were when I took this picture but look how nice and green the grass is and it is summer! I believe that it might be from the parking lot at Church but I can not be sure.
I love this picture of Megan and her Daddy here. It was taken at Grandmas house in April. She was having a giggle fest and was making me laugh so hard. Daddy wanted to cuddle her and she was having more fun laughing and giggling and yelling. She would smile at Daddy and then give him a kiss and then headbutt. Each time she did the headbutt she would burst into giggles all over again.

Megan usually does not laugh so when she does I like to get it on the camera. As soon as she sees the camera she usually gets quiet and wont look at the camera keeping her head turned. This is just the perfect picture to me. I mean what a little cuddle bug she can be!

Here is a fun one of Megan with her attitude going full force! She so did not want me to take her picture that day. I mean can you tell how irritated she is with me? I like that she has enough attitude still. Oh and those are the best pajamas ever! They are one piece but not to warm that she swelters. I have socks to match these pajamas even. Now who wants a hug?

Seizures

I hate them with a passion. They are scary and horrible and cruel. Megan has lost so much due to her seizure disorder it is not fair. She has stopped for the most part her drop seizures and now she is back to the big bad ones. I am talking lasting over 2 minutes, lips turning blue, body shaking, drooling, loss of body functions, and brain damage.
Megan had one just a bit ago, one last night, 3 Monday before last, one the Sunday before last, and one Saturday before last. That is 7 hard seizures within the last 12 days. Her body can not keep taking these nor can her brain.
There is nothing I can do when she has a seizure but be there besides her and reassure her. Make sure to keep her safe the best I can.
People ask me why I do not work outside the home. When I say Megan needs me no one understands what I mean. I am the one to give Megan her meds 3 times a day. I am the one here that does all her Dr. and dental appointments. I am the Mommy that she never had.
I am going to try and video her when she has a seizure so you can all understand how hard it is. Think of you child being at deaths door basically 24/7 and not knowing when your last day with them will be. Knowing that they fall at the drop of a hat, that they can not say if they hurt or where they hurt, that they can not say anything but hung, dawinnnk, daaad, red, on, blu. Oh and you have to know what they means by their few little words. Or when a big word pops back into their precious minds and they say it how you get so excited. How getting a hug and a kiss and the MMMMM mmmmm MMMMM sound means I love you can bring you to tears.

Nasco Springtime Carafe with Lid

This is an antique that I own. I am going to sell it but have no idea what price to ask. It is in perfect shape except for some crazing all over the piece that adds character to it. It is a Nasco Springtime Carafe with Lid. I am not sure of the age just they are no longer made.

Bahaviors

I hope this works today being as yesterday I blogged and it was gone buh bye! Well 360 is all gone now how sad I miss it already.

I am so happy I found my restore disc for the computer. I forgot what a PIA it is to restore everything from the start. Having to remember passwords and such. I know I should have them written down but I didn't.

OK the behavior part of my blog. At the meeting a week ago for Robert he was told he has to get counseling from the clinic there and he has to write a letter of apology to the home owner where he broke in. That was it. Well the form for the letter is still sitting in my van. I am not going to remind him to write it. He wants to be a grown up he can handle his own consequences.

I have the computer in the living room still. It will never be in his room again. I have the cable box out of his room as well. I am going to have hubby attach it to his TV in the spare room. It is a privilege to have the extra channels not a right.

OK I just read Janet Evanovich's The Grand Finale. It was one of those quick reads, I love her books! I have I think about 6 books of hers ready to be picked up at the library tomorrow. Two are her latest books even!
