I love silly things like this. I mean the sign cost money and or time and then it says what it says. I would love to listen to a conversation at this business.
I have had a very non productive day. I have got nothing done that I wanted to do. I have to get stuff done before hubby gets home.
I did got to Safeway and found a few wonderful buys at Safeway today. I spent more then I wanted to but hey got meat at least.
I am having trouble typing tonight. I can not spell anything right. I am having to really think to spell words the right way.
I just wanted to post a quick hi but going to sign off with my brain issues tonight!

Blessed Day Today

I had a very wonderful day today with my husband and Megan and Robert. After sleeping in way longer then we should of Jason, Megan and I laid in bed cuddling and talking. Well Megan was getting irritated at us wanting to go back to sleep but she is so adorable when she first wakes up. I think it was 1:30 before we all crawled out of bed!
I went to McDonalds then being as Megan was hungry and when she is hungry we feed her. The plan had been to take everyone to McDonalds but on the way to get Megan's food I thought hmmm lets got to The Outback and use our gift cards.
I fed Megan and then after waiting for Jason to get off the phone we headed out to lunch/dinner. Megan of course was not hungry but sat with me like a lil lady. Robert had a hamburger and fries, Jason had a baked potato, salad and a medium rare steak.*GAG* It should not have a heart beat. I had a full rack of ribs with a side salad and a baked potato loaded. I ate 1/2 the ribs and 1/2 the salad and brought the ribs and potato home for tomorrow. Oh yea we also had the bread and butter they serve before dinner. I could eat that for my whole meal.
We then went to do an errand that I will report on Monday. For now I can not say what it was. However it was good for Jason to get to do it.

I wantd to go to The Dollar Tree on our way home and we had fun in there. We were all laughing and being kind of loud. It was just a fun trip. I also bought three new books to read. Two of them are by Kate Gosslin and will be an easy and fun read. The other book is a new author for me but looked interesting. I will post the reviews later on.
After leaving that store we headed to the Franz Bakery Outlet. I bought donuts and bread and bread sticks. We made some great deals. The breadsticks were 2/3.00 and they are like double or triple size packages. The donuts were 4/1.00 per box of 8. The bread was not of good a deal but it was the specialty stuff that is normally expensive anyhow.

So that was my day today. It was a fun lazy family day where nothing got done but it was heaven for the soul.

The Best Laid Plans.......

Today is the first day Megan has been back to school since Christmas break. All of my good intentions have been waylaid so far. I am slowly making progress on my goals a step at a time. I am hoping with Megan in school that I can start to get my cleaning and tossing of stuff going full blast.

Tonight I listed a ton of lingerie on Craigslist. It is stuff I no longer wear and stuff that no longer fits. Some is from 98 even lol so yea it is a bit old. It is all in great shape so I hate to toss it and refuse to send it to a thrift store for them to make money off of me.

I did a load of dishes last night and guess what? They did not complete the cycle. Robert did not pay attention to them so I am having to re wash all my dishes now. Geesh what a waste of time and money.

Oh and I dropped a glass in the sink causing it to shatter into a million and one pieces. Oh and the best part? Going down the drain into the disposal. Did you know that after 20 minutes there is still glass down there?  The only good part is I have not cut my hand yet. Notice I said yet.

My church is having a free rummage sale an a couple of months for our members. I would love to save the stuff for then but I have to get it out of the house ASAP! I have way to much stuff and need to find new homes for it all.

My main goal this week is to get everything listed on Craigslist with pictures. Another goal is to clear out one of the black book cases.  I am thinking of moving all my DVDs to the nice oak bookcase and then selling both black book cases. I will move the stuff I am selling into the spare room but organize it into boxes. I have to go through the big oak bookcase and see what all I can get rid of.

XOXOXO Daphne

Book Review The Purpost Of Passion

I was so excited to get to review this book by Kurt Burner and Jim Ware. To be honest I had trouble with understanding most of what I was reading. I have never read anything by Dante and therein lies the main problem. It is Burners and Wares take/ telling of Dante's Divine Comedy. I had to reread quite a few pages to understand what was being said. I am still confused over the story and feel kind of bad for not understanding more of what was said. I would love to tell you what it was about but I am not sure. I so badly want to give a great review and tell what it is all about but I want to be honest. I just simply am not sure.
I am going to give it a reread  and see if I understand it better a second time.

*This book was provided to me by Tyndale House Publishers for the purpose of review.

Soup Du Jour

I am trying to make healthier dinners lately. Things that taste good, are good for you and are budget friendly. So I decided to look online and then adjust to my taste.
I took a ham bone, 1 carton of chicken broth, 1 can tomato soup, 1 can diced tomatoes, 2 cans kidney beans, 1 can black beans, garlic, diced onion, and sliced orange pepper. I could of made this healthier rinsing the beans but wanted to get them going. It smells yummy already and now I just have to wait for the crock pot to do its magic.
I am going to bake hubby cookies in a little bit. I am thinking either peanut butter or oatmeal cookies. Hey what about oatmeal peanut butter cookies? I need a diabetic friendly one that is moist. Guess that is my next search!

Sick Kids

Well as usual all good intentions have gone out the window. I did not have internet service most the time in Cali. so I did not posting. Megan ended up sick when we got home so she has been home with me all this week. I had doctor appointments everyday this week. It was insane. I put more miles on my van this last week then I do normally in a month lol.
I got the all clear from the gyno. at my post opp. appointment. I had to do my 2nd mamogram and got inconclusive information. I have what they believe is 3 or 4 non malignant cysts. I have to go back in 6 months to check on their growth and what is going on with them. I did not have them 6 years ago when I had my first mamogram.
I am still working on my list of stuff to do and sold 2 file cabinets on Craigslist this week. $35.00 for them not a lot but it will help buy groceries.
I still want to get started on clearing out each room but need hubby gone to leave me be! I am hoping that Monday I will be able to get started on clearing out junk.
Oh I finally got all my taxes filed for 2009. Yes I was way late but we had a refund coming so it didn't cost us at least. They would of been filed sooner but I thought I had lost paperwork that Jason had. To bad he didn't tell me he had it so I didn't keep tearing through the house looking for paperwork that I didn't lose.
XOXOXO
